FAMU (Tallahassee) made it five titles in six years with a 46-37 victory over Carrollwood (Tampa) at the 2017 Class 3A girls basketball state championships.

Oak Hall (Gainesville) captured the 2016 Class 1A Girls Track & Field State Championship by scoring 93 team points at IMG Academy in Bradenton.

University Christian (Jacksonville) defeated Champagnat (Hialeah) 24-8 to claim the 2A State Championship during the 2016 event at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

Lessburg captured the 2017 Class 6A boys basketball state title, third in school history, with a 57-53 victory over Mariner (Cape Coral) in the championship game.

River Ridge (New Port Richey) goes back to back, claiming the Class 1A Girls Weightlifting State Championship during the 2017 event held at Belleview High School.

West Gadsden (Greensboro) claimed the 2017 Class 1A boys basketball state championship with a 64-44 victory over Wildwood, the school's first boys basketball title.

In a game dominated by defense, Grandview Prep (Boca Raton) outpaced Calvary Christian (Ormond Beach) 37-34 to claim the 2A State Championship in Lakeland.

Miami Christian brought home a second title in three years with a 51-48 hard-fought victory over Florida Prep (Melbourne) in the 2017 Class 2A state championship.

Madison County claimed the 2017 Class 1A team title at the Florida High School Boys Weightlifting State Championships in DeLand.
