In a rematch of 2016, Champagnat (Hialeah) avenged a championship game loss to University Christian (Jacksonville), 24-7 to claim the 2017 2A State Championship at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) goes back to back, defeating Lake Highland Prep (Orlando) 12-7 to take home the 2017 boys lacrosse state championship from Jupiter Community High School.

City of Life (Kissimmee) outpaced Calvary Christian (Ormond Beach) 51-34 to claim the 2018 Class 2A Girls Basketball State Championship at the event held in Lakeland, the school's first ever girls basketball title.

Calvary Christian (Clearwater) capped off an undefeated 2017 season and captured its first-ever baseball title with a 11-1 victory over Pensacola Catholic in the 2017 Class 4A title game at Centurylink Sports Complex in Fort Myers.

Venice ran away from Bartram Trail (St. Johns) early in a 37-24 victory to claim the Class 7A State Championship at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

In their first state title game appearance since 2004, Fort Myers defeated Niceville 7-1 to claim the 2017 Class 7A crown and the school's first ever softball state championship.
