Victoria Jefferson of Ocoee set a FHSAA girls weightlifting state record in her division for the bench press (305 pounds) and tied the record for combined overall total weight (510 pounds) on her way to earning an individual 2017 State Championship at the event in Belleview.

A 2OT thriller saw Bishop Moore (Orlando) claim their first Girls Lacrosse State Championship over St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) 13-12 during the 2017 event in Jupiter.

Trinity Christian (Lake Worth) goes back-to-back after defeating Trinity Christian (Deltona) 8-3 in the 2017 Class 2A title game in Fort Myers.
