Hagerty (Oviedo) out-dueled defending champion Oakleaf (Orange Park) 1-0 to claim the school's first ever softball state championship in the 2018 Class 8A title game from Historic Dodgertown.

Ponte Vedra defeated the defending champions Bishop Moore (Orlando) in a five set match for the 2017 Class 6A Girls Volleyball State Championships, which took place at UNF Arena in Jacksonville.

In a 3-1 nine-inning thriller, Venice defeated Pace to claim the 2018 Class 7A State Championship at Centurylink Sports Complex in Fort Myers.

Competition during the 2017 Florida High School Swimming & Diving State Championships at Sailfish Splashpark Aquatics Athletics Center in Stuart.

In the school's first title game appearance since 2003, St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) defeated Sarasota 8-4 to capture the Class 8A crown and it's third ever baseball title at the 2018 state baseball championships in Fort Myers.

Spruce Creek (Port Orange) edged out Miami 44-43 in the Class 9A State Championship Game, capturing the school's first ever girls' basketball title.

Lake Gibson (Lakeland) claimed the inaugural Class 2A Wrestling Duals State Championship at the event in Kissimmee.

Alonso (Tampa) defeated perennial favorite Seminole Ridge (Loxahatchee) 19-7 in the class 2A final to claim its first ever Flag Football State Championship.

Competition at the 2018 Track & Field State Championships from UNF's Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville. In Class 4A, Columbus (Miami) claimed the team title for the boys and St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) took the top spot for the girls.
